自然语言处理实验室是厦门大学信息学院一支具有30多年研究历史的科研创新团队。团队面向信息社会中不同语言间的国内外交流的重大需求,以实现高度智能化的语言处理为目标,开展分词、命名实体识别、句法分析、多语词语对齐、语言模型、隐喻理解等基础研究,规则和统计相结合的机器翻译、辅助翻译、嵌入式翻译、新型语篇语义翻译模型、云翻译平台、神经机器翻译等机器翻译研究,知识图谱、信息抽取、关系和事件抽取、跨语言信息检索、舆情分析等网络信息处理应用基础研究。同时和外文系、中文系、两岸关系和平发展协创中心等单位有密切的交叉学科合作关系。目前团队的三个主要研究方向是多语种机器翻译、隐喻计算、信息抽取和检索。实验室现有全职研究人员9人,含教授1人,副教授4人,助理教授4人。

实验室与多个国内外研究机构和企业建立了良好的关系,开展了卓有成效的交流和合作。实验室希望与国内外同行一起努力,为自然语言处理和机器翻译领域的发展做出贡献!
